Complex aromas of dark fruits, satsuma plum, and sweet savoury spice. A smooth and subtle palate, juicy plum, and red currant with soft velvety tannins.
VINTAGE NOTES
A mild 2020 spring with reasonable rainfall provided excellent growing conditions. A wet November followed by a warm and dry December and January set the vines up fora regular season. However, wet and humid conditions inFebruary created an unusual vintage with extreme weather conditions. As a result, the 2021 vintage required extra work and attention to detail in the vineyard. This particular block of SA Clone from Frankland River performed extremely well, achieving optimum ripeness, which is reflected in the final style. The wine expresses it's varietal and regional terroir.
