These wines all play to the real underlying strength of Great Southern – the fact that the region experiences a maritime Mediterranean climate that delivers steady and defined seasons. These are characterised by generous winter rainfall, moderate spring temperatures and a long, dry growing season throughout summer, to the end of harvest in autumn. The climate is perfect for premium table wine growing; cool with dry summers and wet winters.
