VINTAGE NOTES
The 2025 growing season began with more typical conditions. Moderate to warm days allowed for slow, steady ripening. A warm February accelerated the pace, with several regions and varieties ripening simultaneously including both northern and southern Margaret River and Great Southern whites. Our viticulture and winemaking teams rose to the challenge, ensuring a smooth intake of fruit across the regions. Rainfall in early March briefly slowed the intake of red fruit, providing a short breather. By late March, many red varieties were already in the winery, with only a few parcels of Cabernet remaining to be harvested in April. Warm days, cool nights, no disease pressure, and average yields delivered clean, ripe fruit full of flavour and vibrant acidity.
The Sauvignon Blanc was sourced from a Wilyabrup site in northern Margaret River, and the Semillon from Karridale in the south. These two sub-regions come together to create a wine with stunning aromatic complexity, punchy flavour, and crisp acidity.
