Presenting complex aromas of dark berries, plum, and subtle savoury oak spice, this medium bodied wine shows more complexity on the palate, with earthiness, dark fruits, and subtle toasty oak. The palate is framed by fine chewy tannins, with a full firm finish and great length. It pairs beautifully with a variety of foods, but our favourite is a Wagyu Beef and Mushroom Pie. Delicious!

“To be honest, I found it very hard to split the trio. Loved them all. Will this suffer middle child syndrome? It shouldn’t. An inky dark maroon in colour. Plush and yet concentrated, a fine line to dance but when it works, the results are exciting. Cassis, chocolate, tobacco leaf notes, but especially those gorgeous black cherries. Such an appealing nose. Hints of well integrated oak. Coffee bean characters move to the fore on the palate. Firm tannins making for a firmer finish than we saw with the 2017 – simply a matter for personal preference. Very good length, this is a wine with real potential.”
